Even after all those years of working with, supporting, and being supported by, women - women in sports, women in business, in corporate, and at home - it still gets to me how each and everyone of them, at some point, felt she wasn't enough!
One more certification. One more test. One more practice. One more sketch. One more change to the website. One more week, month, year... One more...
Why is it so hard to recognize the brilliance, that unique gift, that each of us has to offer? Why do we tend to focus on the weakness, lack, that one thing that isn't, and allow that to hold us back?
I've personally experienced it in many different forms, so I know how hard it is to change: as an athlete, as an employee, entrepreneur, wife, and especially as a mom, there's always been something that wasn't enough.
Not explosive enough. Not experienced enough. Not savvy enough. Not knowledgeable enough. Not patient enough. Not successful enough... From personal traits to body image, to physical skills...
Let's face it, there is always something that will be in our way - or we will make sure to create that obstacle ourselves.
Luckily, over those years, I've been privileged to experience and witness the other side of this same story, too.
The side where each one of those women recognized her potential, stood up for herself, realized what she had to offer, and claimed it.
It was, and still is, amazing, empowering, and inspiring:
None of them did in on their own, recognize that brilliance, and claim it!
And, because stepping into your own genius, and staying there, is a process that will always bring up the next set of challenges, having that ongoing support in place is crucial!
I am lucky to have my own - in personal life and in business. What about you?
I invite you to think about all that you are, want to be, and know you could be. And then, think about why you believe you aren't already.
As you are willing to share, I am happy to listen, let's set up a quick, 15-min call. I am happy to share some resources that can help you get there - either my own, or of my vast network of experts. (Making valuable introductions is what I am known for).
Now that you're thinking about yourself, please remember this: YOU ARE ENOUGH!
And thank you for being you!
